"We decided to switch to St. Bartholomew from public school when our boys were getting ready to enter 1st and 6th grades. We were looking for a learning mindset that our boys needed, but couldn't find in a larger school. As parents, applying to St. Bartholomew was the best decision we have ever made. Our youngest immediately started making huge leaps and bounds in not only academics but also in his self-confidence. Our oldest was on board from the moment we left the open house. He jumped right in like he had been there all along, his love for school was back and we were thrilled. It has been the safe and nurturing environment that we were looking for. The staff has so much love and respect for all the families that go here. I could go on and on about how we love it here!"
The Ericksons, St. Bartholomew Family
Our goal at St. Bartholomew Catholic School is that students will grow daily in their faith, academics, and service to others. Saint Bartholomew students are part of a Catholic, Christian community where teachers, staff, and parents share the same values and beliefs. We strive to be an open and welcoming community with many ways for students and parents to become active, involved members of both our parish and school.
Students at St. Bartholomew Catholic School are encouraged to live their Catholic faith in their every day life, both at school and at home. In addition to a weekly All School Mass, our school community celebrates our faith with special events surrounding the church calendar, including the La Posada procession, Christmas celebrations, and Holy Week observances, among others. Students also spend some time every day in prayer and in learning the teachings of the Catholic faith through their religion class. We also offer preparation for 2nd grade students to celebrate their First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion.
St. Bartholomew Catholic School has continually received a 4 star designation by the State of Indiana. Learn more about the criteria we achieved to receive this honor. We have also been recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School and consistently rank amongst the highest performing schools on the Indiana ILEARN test each year.
Our teachers and faculty work hard to bring the latest teaching methods and curriculum to our students to bring out the best and brightest in our students.
Whether as part of a classroom project or as an individual mission, our students make service a part of their school and home life. Our students have conducted projects to assist organizations such as Utopia Wildlife Center, Bartholomew County Humane Society, Love Chapel, Turning Point and many others. Several student clubs also work on service projects that involve the entire school. At St. Bartholomew Catholic School, we make service a part of our every day school life.
