Hello! My name is Shannon Royer, and I am so happy to begin my 23rd year teaching third grade at Saint Bartholomew School. I grew up in Columbus, Indiana, attended Saint Peter’s Lutheran School, Columbus East High School, and Purdue University where I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. My husband, Randy, and I lived in West Palm Beach, Florida for 5 years where I taught 3rd grade at Saint Juliana Catholic School before beginning my career at St. Bartholomew.
Randy and I have one daughter named Josie. She lives in Bloomington, Indiana. I love being a mother, and truly feel as if it has made be a better teacher.
In my free time, I love to bake, run, and read. Unfortunately I don’t have nearly enough time for these hobbies, but I do my best.
Each year, my goal is that my students will enjoy school, want to come to school just to find out what is happening that day, and be tricked into learning because it is so much fun! Third grade is a huge year of learning, and you will be so impressed with what your child can do when it is over.
