Hello! My name is Quinike Nusawardhana and I am the Outdoor Learning Lab (OLL) and Gardens Coordinator. I work with the teachers to develop science class lesson plans using the OLL & the surrounding gardens.
Projects have included the butterfly life cycle (egg to caterpillar to butterfly), plant identification & botany, raising earthworms, composting, planting vegetables, herbs and flowers in raised planting beds, installing a Pollinators Pathway gardenand a Dig Site. We also have Mary’s Garden with a Rosary Path, a Butterfly House and a lending library!
Interested in getting involved? There’s more projects to build!
I have two children, Alexandra who is a Senior at Indiana University and Albert who is a Junior at Franklin High School, both Alexandra and Albert graduated from St Bartholomew School. I have been married to my husband, Antonius for 21 years. I also volunteer as a Naturalist and Commissary Assistant at the Indianapolis Zoo.
I am the staff member for the Horticulture Club along with St Bartholomew parent & Master Gardener, Kim Rayburn. Horti Club meets every other Thursday after school for an hour. To join Horti Club or if you have any additional questions, please email me at: outdoorlab@stbirish.net
