Joy Etheredge

Hello!  My name is Joy Etheredge and this is my 3rd year of working at St. Bartholomew as a Title teacher.

Providing small group reading intervention is my passion.  I am so blessed to be able to spend my entire day helping children fall in love with reading and gain confidence in their literacy skills.

I am originally from Kentucky, moving here 8 years ago.  Before becoming a Title 1 teacher, I was a classroom teacher for 6 years.

I have a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education and a Master’s in Literacy Education from Western Kentucky University.  I became a certified Reading Specialist with Dyslexia Training through the M.A. Rooney Foundation by completing 30 hours in Orton-Gillingham.
