Hello! My name is Elizabeth Schiavello, and I am glad to be in my 12th year teaching at Saint Bartholomew Catholic School. I grew up in Toledo, Ohio. I graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in Sociology and Psychology. After working in social work for four years, I returned to school for teaching certification. I am certified in Elementary Education, and I have a Reading Certificate for K-12. I worked at St. Margaret of York Catholic School in Loveland, Ohio as a Middle School Language Arts and Social Studies teacher. I also taught adult education GED courses in Cincinnati, Ohio.
When my husband Chuck and I moved to Columbus, we enrolled our oldest son, Zachary, at Saint Bartholomew Catholic School. He is now a Graduate of The Ohio State University. Our son Nicholas is a Sophomore at Wheaton College, and Jack is a Junior at Columbus North High School.
Each year my goal is that my students will enjoy school and feel like important members of our class family. I want them to learn and enjoy what they are doing with an emphasis on faith.
