Welcome to St. Bartholomew Jr. High Religion, I am very excited to have you in my classroom this year! I look forward getting to know each of you on a personal basis. With that said I bet you would like to know a little bit more about me.
I was born Catholic and raised in Columbus, In. I attended St. Bartholomew School (1-8). I consider St. Bartholomew as home since I have been in it for 43 years as a student, parent and now an employee!
I attended Lexington Community College in Lexington, KY. I received my youth minister certificate through the Loyola Ministry Program in Chicago, IL.
I have been married for 26 years to Carl Schwartz, we have been blessed with four amazing children; Marie (26), Andrew (25), Victoria (23) and Adam (17). My biggest hobby is photography but I love tackling new crafts and ideas all the time! I collect crosses, milk glass pitchers, nativity scenes and willow tree figurines. I am in awe of seeing God in everyday things and make it a game with my students! You would be amazed at what they bring me and say, “Okay Mrs. Schwartz, connect this to our faith and God!”. So far I have not failed only stumbled a few times. However, the Holy Spirit always rescues me.
That is a little insight on me, I hope you have a wonderful 2020-2021 school year! Feel free to email or stop in to ask any questions or express concerns you may have.
