Hello! I am the Art Teacher at St. Bartholomew Catholic School, where I have taught Art to many students from Kindergarten through 8th grade – for 24 years!
I am married and have two wonderful children – both of whom attended and graduated from St. B’s, and three grandchildren. I grew up in Columbus, and have been a member of St. Bartholomew’s parish community practically all of my life! I was baptized at, and attended the “old – downtown” St. Bartholomew, where I have lots of fond memories. Needless to say, I have a strong affection for the people of this parish, the church and the school. I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Ball State University, and further education at Ivy Tech College. My favorite activities outside of school are crafting, baking, and going to the movies. I have always loved Art, and can’t remember a time when I wasn’t creating something!
I believe that every person has artistic ability, and I strive to bring out the artist in every student. We are very fortunate to have Art as an integral part of all St. B.’s students education. I often try to create interdisciplinary connections between the students’ Art lessons, our Catholic faith and their other classes. I feel very blessed and thankful to God for being able to share my love of creating Art, my time and talents with all of the students here at St. Bartholomew School!
