Hello! I am Mrs. Smith, and this is my sixth year teaching at St. Bartholomew! I went through RCIA in 2006, and was immediately drawn to serving the church. I have been a lector at 5:00 Mass since completing RCIA, and also currently serve on the Liturgy Planning Committee. In the past, I have served on the Worship Commission, Pastoral Council, and the RCIA Team. I have also taught Kindergarten Sunday School and Preschool Vacation Bible School. Prior to starting at St. Bartholomew, I worked for fourteen years in an early childhood setting, including nine years teaching Kindergarten, and three years as an educational coordinator. I received my bachelor’s degree in elementary education with a science endorsement from IUPUC/IUPUI, my Kindergarten Endorsement from Indiana State University, and my master’s degree in elementary education with a concentration in reading from IU.
My husband Charlie and I have been married for 8 years. He teaches 6th, 7th, and 8th grade social studies and religion at a parochial school in Seymour, where we live. We have a terrier-corgi mix, named Bella.
I am very excited to begin another year at St. Bartholomew!
